People are nice here. I was going to say people are 'nicer' here, but I am not quite in the position to make a generlization of that sort. Seeing how the bike I borrowed yesterday got ripped off, even though it was locked up. I think that this won't be that big of an issue cause it was an old one with flat tires that i found in the shed and it is one of those heavy duty mountain bikes. But anyhow, the space where niki lives is called ABCo and it is a huge and amazingly inspiring collective warehouse space. They have an art gallery, a studio for every person who lives here, a shop with welding stuff, and a huge kitchen full of bright and happy people and a show space. Everyone is into taking about "positive vibes" and keeping everyone's mood up in general. at first I was akward to this sort of behavior because I am used to people being stand-off-is in oly. I feel like people are more concerned with being the 'right oppinion' or life style and less concerned with tying and mending the various groups of four or five people together, to feel big and real. people seem happier and the sun is out and spring is here full force, year round and there is garbage and stealing everywhere. but there is a different and intresting kind of safety I find in this.
